1. General Introduction
In Master Tung's Acupuncture (MTA), we uncover powerful points closely related to the uterus and ovary, offering a unique approach to treating various gynecological disorders. Key points like Fu Ke (Gynecology) and Huan Chao (Ovary) are instrumental in this process. Master Tung himself, a renowned figure in this field, documented thousands of successful cases in gynecological treatments.
The efficacy of MTA in gynecology isn't just anecdotal; it's supported by contemporary research. For instance, Cao et al. (2019) highlight MTA's potential in aiding long-term weight control and improving menstrual frequency in patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). Additionally, Szafranska et al. (2021) presented a compelling case for treating amenorrhea effectively with acupuncture.
In my clinical experience, I frequently employ MTA to address a range of gynecological issues such as menopause, PCOS, infertility, postpartum disorders, and more. This course is designed to delve into the intricacies of MTA, equipping you with the knowledge and skills to apply these techniques in your practice, thereby enhancing patient care in the field of gynecology.
